Mt. Nangtud Climb - The Summit Awaits (Barbaza Antique) 8.21-25.2025

  A breathtaking view captured at 8 a.m. from the ridge of Mt. Nangtud. We may not have pushed for the summit the next day due to bad weather, but we were still blessed with a stunning sunrise at the ridge,  a definite highlight of our climb, along with the serene river trail. This photo was taken on the second day during our backtrail, which involved several river crossings. Shoutout to our porter and guide from Lumboyan Trekkers, who prioritized our safety above all else, even when we insisted on pushing to the summit along with the other group.  Mt. Hibok-Hibok is a stratovolcano on Camiguin Island, north coast of Mindanao Island Philippines. It is one of the active volcanoes in the country. Elevation: 1,332 m (5,370 ft) | Prominence: 700 m (2,300ft) It has six hot springs (Ardent Spring, Tangob, Tagdo, Naasag and Kiyab), three craters (Kanangkaan Crater, site of the 1984 eruption; Itum Crater, site of 1949 eruption, and Ilihan Crater, site of 1950 eruption).
