It lies about 25 kilometres (16 miles) off the west coast of Cebu, 12 kilometres (7 mi) northeast from Bantayan Island, and 10 kilometres (6 mi) from Hilantagaan Island. The island is within the municipality of Santa Fe and comprises three barangays: Hagdan, Kinatarkan and Langub.

Daan Bantayan Pier @ 1:00pm (Saturday March 17, 2018)

From the city of Cebu it’s a 4 hours time travel, so we met at North Bus Terminal early around 5-6am then left the terminal 7am. We arrived around 11am plus. We took first our lunch at Daan Bantayan Public Market then bought some foods that can fill 10 tummies for 3 meals (Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast and luch). We took a passenger boat for 50.00 each. Affordable enough for a 1 hour ride.

These breath taking shoreline in the island surprises us upon arriving in Barangay Hagdan which was proposed by Manong Dado, the owner of the boat we took and was actually where their house situated.

Supposed to only rely on our tents, Manong Dado offered a little house where we stayed for 1 night with no electricity (but we have our headlamps) for only Ph200.00 but with water for 2.00 per balde. Isn’t so lovely? Why not go with this offer since it was habagat season, the wind was so strong. The house have fences that would protect us from the wind. We just pitched our tents with a perfect spot outside.

Our kind of Saturday dinner March 17, 2018. All was bought from Daan Bantayan public market since we believed that locals have fresh catch only in the morning so we're just being prepared. The island has less accessible of all food you want. We only bought some sort of needs to Manoy Dado's little sari-sari.

SESSION
A night powered by:  Emperador Light and Bacardi & of course celebrating Jeda's birthday sponsored by Aventino's Pizza. This was the reason why we're here. By the way he saved the food expenses for this trip so what can you say about it? We just added some extra additional for the food. Usually most of our trip, (beach or a mountain trip) the celebrant will owe basically the food expenses but it’s an optional depending on your barkada agreement.

To: Laaw Lagoon

(Sunday March 18, 2018)

Almost an hour hike going to this famous lagoon.

It was low tide that's why water looks like that when we arrived at the place.

These green plant are not just an ordinary one, We call it "lato", it naturally grows in this lagoon that the locals are preserving which we can actually eat it there.

A fresh dried "Talho" as they called by the locals. We just bought for only 120.00 per kilo which was already 150.00 in the wharf and 200.00 in carbon market.

Swimming Time:

Girlat on her signature pose over the entire island.
Enjoying all the beauty of the island with the company of these lovely crazy people.

Lol, sharing this expenses that we had as our way of documentation. Amazing. To make it clear I'll put some of our major expenses below.

MAJOR EXPENSES:

1. Food - 1k from the celebrant
2. Passenger boat - 50.00 each going to the island
3. Pakyaw boat (going back to the wharf) - 1500/10 = 150.00 each
4. Accomodation (whole house) - 200.00/10 = 20.00 each
5. Water - (we just gave them 100 for us all) 100/10 = 10.00 each
6. Guide fee to Botch - (we decided to gave Botch 150 as a reward) - 150/10 = 15.00 each
7. Cebu to Daan Bantayan vice versa - 192.00 1way*2 = 384.00 air-condition accommodation

It's up to how you calculate all of that. Each was only had 674.00 damaged to this escape.

Others Things to do in Kinatarcan Island :

We haven’t been to these part of the island since we are out of time but base on other blogs with photos these are also an exciting place to visit
1. Pasil Beach – white sand beach, aside from barangay Hargdan there lots of fishing boats and passenger boats also dock in this area.
2. Langub Beach – Located at Brgy. Langub, also best for swimming with fine white sand just like with the other beaches in the island.

3. Bitoon Beach – Located at the back portion of the island. Great for snorkeling.
